Formula one is one of the world'smost high-paced sports in which a fraction ofseconds can cost a win. From the method ofcalculating the time spent on a pitstop, when thecar should come for the pitstop, fuelconsumption, race strategy, aerodynamics, mechanics, engine power is all influenced byoperation research. The paper aims at differenttechniques such as optimization and simulation, further discussing the different types of methodsused. It provides brief information about theoutcomes, drawbacks, and recommendationsgiven for the efficient use of these techniques inthe F1 racing world. It also addressesimprovements that can be done by logistics, thenecessary factors which need to be considered inthe simulation model, and so on. The mainobjective is to study these techniques andprovide an overview and limitations of eachmethod, emphasizing the need for additionalresearch to find solutions.
