The present study was designed toevaluate the toxic effect of Sodium metabisulfite(SMB) on testes and liver of 8 week- old mouse, which were grouped as control (C) and dosegroup, SM (500 mg/kg B.W SMB). TheExperimental group was injected 0.1ml SM (500mg/g B.W + 10 ml distilled water) for twenty-onedays, while a control group was given 0.1 ml waterfor the same durations. Recovered testes weresubjected to morphological, morphometric, andhistological analysis. A Hormone evaluation wasalso conducted. Methods Dose group SM (500mg/kg B.W SMB) showed morphological defectslike wrinkles on the surface, shrinkage, small size, whereas the testes of control group appearednormal just like control (C). Morphometricanalysis of dose group SM (500 mg/g B.W SMB)showed significant decrease in length, width andweight of testis as compared to control group.Blood analysis showed significantly levels oftestosterone and glutathione reductions in dosegroup SM (500 mg/g B.W SMB) as compared tothe control group. While the level ofMelanodialdehyde (MDA) increased significantlyin dose group SM (500 mg/g B.W SMB) ascompare to the control group. Histological defectswere observed in testes of dose group SM (500mg/g B.W SMB) like deshaped somniferoustubule, degenerated spermatids, vacuolization, rupturing of germinal epithelium, absence ofsperms in the lumen, degenerated peritubularmyoid cells, hyalinization, cluster of degeneratedspermatozoa in lumen and absence of leydig cells.Histology of the liver showed various defects likemitotic cells, vacuolization, degeneration ofhepatic cells and cell shrinkage, broad suicidalspacing, absence of bile canaliculus cells, regenerated kuppfer cell, and interrupted sheet ofhepatocytes. Conclusion - The harmful impact ofsodium metabisulfite on the liver andreproductive system of male mice. A Sharpdecrease in the level of testosterone was formed tobe a key factor for studied deformation inmorphology, morphometry, and histol
