The study sought to determine theeffects of leadership trait towards promotingutilization of ICT farming systems for maizeproduction in Zimbabwe. The study adoptedqualitative approach and utilized 219 participants.The research also adopted an ordinal regressionmodel to analyze the data. The study contributedthe knowledge that leadership who are dominant,who are not flexible to change and conservedhinder the adoption of ICT farming systems formaize production just like leaders under smallscale maize farmer union. In order to facilitateearly the adoption which has taken place underthe large scale maize farmer organization, farmerleadership, must possess radical, flexibility, andparticipatory traits to facilitate change and notinhibit change. In order to promote the earlyadoption of ICT farming systems in the maizevalue chain the farmer union leadership must beflexible and less dominance to change.
