The consumption of electrical andthermal energies by appliances in the residentialbuilding sector is growing fast and lots ofmethods are being followed to beat the energydemand in this sector. Among the variousapproaches, performance enhancement ofrefrigeration systems has been recognized as oneof the important areas for investigation. Due tothe increase in the use of small-scale applicationsand their effect on global energy requirements, specific research has to be focused on small-scalesystems with water-cooled condensers to reduceenergy usage in residential buildings. In thisstudy, the evaporative condenser of arefrigeration system was connected to theprevailing water distribution with a submergedmotor. The proposed system was analysed forenergy savings, performance enhancement, andenvironmental benefits.
