
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT IN JUST IN TIME MANUFACTURING (JIT), A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

The study's initial goal is to becomeacquainted with the general Kaizen approach andthe elements required for its successfulimplementation.Methodology: It is critical to understand thesuccess implementation factors to increaseproductivity and achieve value for the researchthat has been conducted in many manufacturingsectors. A systematic literature review (SLR) isconducted to gain a clear understanding of thevarious literature available in the search results forContinuous Improvements (CI) in Just-in-TimeManufacturing (JIT). To perform the SRL, 87articles are accumulated from Google Scholar andscreened according to the inclusion and exclusioncriteria. Another 30 papers have been accepted,with the majority of them focusing on two researchareas, namely continuous improvement in theautomobile industry and successfulimplementation metrics. The 30 papers preferredare visualized based on the market, country oforigin, variables, and approaches used by themultiple writers.Conclusion: After conducting a thorough literaturesurvey, it was evident that most authors pointed outthe necessity of excellent communication channels,training, and education for successful CI adoptionin the industries. All the researchers investigatedchange, employee and team preparation, andcommitment to change. One study advocatedinnovatively using change management tools.
