- Sustainable manufacturing has become ofutmost importance during these times of strained supplychain logistics and availability as highlighted by theCovid-19 pandemic. Organizations, both privately andpublicly owned have realized the positive relation ofeconomic progress and sustainable manufacturing whichhave made them imbibe and implement such practices.Newer technologies, efficient processes and wastereducing methods etc. have become key in anymanufacturing process. This trend will continueincreasing with time for production to remain economicaland regular. Almost all research on this topic has focusedon a particular timeline of sustainable manufacturing.The purpose of this paper is to explore the wider timelineof events that sustainable manufacturing has gonethrough in order to reach this importance.
