In this paper, a solar charge controller withMaximum Power Point Tracking is designed andimplemented using Matlab Simulink. There is also anoutput inverter integrated with the system to obtain a singlephase AC output to power the home appliances. For themaximum power point tracking two methods, the Perturband Observe (P&O) and Incremental Conductance (INC)algorithms are implemented and their performance isanalysed. With the changing irradiance, the MPP is trackedeffectively and a regulated DC voltage is obtained usingBuck-Boost converter, which is suitable for the selectedpulse width modulation (PWM) inverter. Mathematicalmodelling of the same is performed, establishing therelation between various mathematical equations andestimating quantitative behavior of the physical system.
