Noise Pollution is a growing problem inModern cities, thanks to rapid population growth,urbanization and new technologies. Moreover, at times, anoisy neighbor or co-worker can drive you crazy andaffect your wellbeing. Traffic light control systems arwidely used to monitor and control the flow ofautomobiles through the junction of many roads. Theyaim to realize smooth motion of cars in the transportationroutes. However, this system also leads to Noise Pollutionwhich this present traffic signal doesn’t considers aproblem. But any sound which crosses the parameter of90 Hz is considered Noise which you’ll get to hear at eachand every traffic signal present at every adjacentintersection. Exposure to prolonged or excessive noise hasbeen shown to cause range of health problems rangingfrom stress, poor concentration, productivity loss in theworkplace, and communication difficulties and fatiguefrom lack of sleep, to more serious issues such ascardiovascular disease, cognitive impairment, tinnitusand hearing loss. Hence, to overcome all these problemsand help our society we propose a system based onArduino with High-end microphone sensors and ouralgorithm to detect and distinguish between Normalsound and Noise based on that decision Vehicle riderspresent at that traffic signal will be penalized with extratime to spend on that junction
