Extrusion processes are widely used inplastic industries that aim to produce advancedsolutions for increasingly sophisticated demands forplastics. Processes are not designed based onprofessional engineering design process, but on trialand error techniques. These two factors affect theextrusion processing parameters. In this study focuswill be concentrated on the parameters incorporatedin Polypropylene rope extrusion process such as:screw length, screw diameter, metering zone lengthand flight depth. A model equations were derivedconsidering the swelling occurs for the extrudedfibers and the tensile drawing of fiber. Theauthenticated design parameters was derived and amodel useful to simulate any given processsuccessfully was resulted in a form of computersoftware system.
