In view of the complex composition of e-wasteand its resultant implications for e-waste disposal decisionamong constituents, including households, at the microlevel; empirical evidences on factors predisposingconsumer e-waste disposal behavior, particularly forspecific e-waste category would enrich decision making onsustainable e-waste management plan in developingcountry context. It is on this premise/background that weexamined determinants of households’ e-waste disposaldecision for specific e-waste categories at local level inselected States – Lagos and Oyo States, SouthwesternNigeria. Using a 2018 household data set collected throughquestionnaire survey, and subjected to descriptive andinferential analytical tools. This study finds differences inthe factors influencing households’ e-waste disposaldecision between the two States and even within eachstates, for each e-waste category considered.Inconvenience, value reward, non-implementation/lack ofe-waste legislation/policy and lack of e-wastecollection/take back system were predominantdeterminants of households’ decision to store or disposethe e-waste categories in the study area. The study resulthas positive implications for sustained e-wastemanagement plan and action at local levels, and morespecifically for the study area.
