Image processing is a method to perform some methods on the image to get enhanced image and get some useful information from the image. Segmentation of the image refers to extraction of important information from the specific region of the image. There are two methods used for segmentation of the image i.e. Level set function and active contour method. The level set function is used to define the outline of the object and active contour is boundary based segmentation of different medical image. Active contour is used in CT images, MRI and cardiac images and different regions of human body Keywords—Segmentation, Active Contour, Level Set,
