
DETECTION OF ORAL CANCER AND NON CANCER FROM MICROSCOPIC BIOPSY IMAGES USING IMAGE PROCESSING TECHNIQUES

The study represents the detection of oral cancer and non cancer from microscopic biopsy images. Diagnosis of oral lesions histologically can be done through modern modalities. The various stages involved in this methodology including enhancement of the microscopic images, converting the images from RGB to L*a*b color space, classify the colors in L*a*b space using k-means clustering, segmenting the nuclei, feature extraction and classification.
