The article deals with the analysis of the problems of open education and distance learning implementation for customs officers according to the international standards developed by the World Customs Organization (WCO). The prerogatives of distance learning system are described and the distance thematic courses for customs officers and private sector are presented in this article. Also author reveals the general information about the WCO Professional Standards implementation in the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
