The critical analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of traditional and e-learning as well as the shortcomings in the knowledge of the first course students allowed us to conclude that the most appropriate implementation of blended learning in studying physics in technical university is Flipped Classroom model. Blended learning can be conveniently carried out, using the special features of the LMS Moodle activity element «Lesson», which provides the possibility to combine small logically completed parts and monitoring its mastering. This allows the teacher to offer students to study easier separate part of the lecture or all of its content. Approbation of such a model of mixed learning on a sample of first-year students showed the activation of their cognitive activities and the better mastering of educational material.
