The study aimed at identifying the problems faced by Graduate Teachers who recruited without indicating their subject category in the Tamil medium schools in Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. Using a simple random sampling technique, a total number of 13 teachers which consisted of 8 male teachers and 5 female teachers from the population of graduate teachers in the educational division of Koralai Pattu West in eastern province in Sri Lanka, was selected for the study. The study was employed qualitative approach and a semi structured interview schedule was used to collect data. Collected data was analyzed using a thematic technique. Based on the analysis of the data, it was found that many teachers were not satisfied with their teaching and faced problems in terms of administrative, emotional and teaching subjects in the schools. Therefore, it was recommended to recruit graduate teachers with mentioning their teaching subject category in order to make them satisfaction in their teaching.
