Tamil language teachers in national school are implementing the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) through teaching and learning activities. Involvement of pupils are significant using the various methods and strategic during the lessons. Methods and strategic highlighting Higher Order Thinking Skills are incorporated through communication, collaboration, creativity, research thinking and ethics. The activities such as hot seat, gallery walk, round table are described with evidence are tailored to suit the Higher Order Thinking Skills of the pupils in their respective classes. The implementation of 21-century teaching and learning approaches unable pupils to fully participate in all activities especially in promoting the Higher Order Thinking Skills in classroom.
