Interferon beta therapy is a well-established treatment of patients suffering from multiple sclerosis, a demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. Since type I interferons have immunomodulatory properties, these cytokines may trigger several autoimmune disorders. In this case, we report the development of autoimmune hypothyroidism in a multiple sclerosis patients receiving interferon-β 1a. Bangladesh J. Nuclear Med. 19(2): 149-151, July 2016
