The Committee for Freedom of Choice in Medicine is the political arm ofseveral interlocking corporations promoting and/or marketing questionableremedies for cancer and other serious diseases. Operating during the 1970sas the Committee for Freedom of Choice in Cancer Therapy, the organizationfought for legalization of laetrile and claimed to have many members. Todaythe Committee appears to be a small group whose principal activities arespeeches and press conferences by its leaders, protests to governmentagencies, and publication of a small‐circulation newsletter.
