Urdu fiction has passed through many milestones. Our socio-political scenario was transforming after 1960s. New trends and innovations surfaced in story with the changing conditions. A rich blend of tale beauty also emerged with symbolism and abstractionism in it. Expression changed its course from naming and direct speech to suggesting, metamorphism and allegoricism. Novel concepts and references came to light on subject level too such as issues regarding man’s sense of insecurity and his identity, fear and mental discontent etc. In this article Hamid Sarosh’s work SHEHR E DANISH has been analysed in the light of these factors.
