The author substantiates her independent analysis of the concept of library as a system.: In her model, she examines three contours corresponding with the three human consciousness level and three levels of communication: Nonverbal (sensory), oral (verbal), and written communication. The author concludes that the concept of libraries may be explored theoretically, beyond the subject scope of library science. This would deepen the idea of library science key paradigm and contribute new approaches to librarianship.
