The paper is devoted to the problems of defining the notion of criminal personality, as well as the use of forensic information on the criminal identity to solve the problems of forensic science. Based on investigative experience the author analyzes scientific views on understanding the notion of “criminal identity” and offers a simple and laconical system of directions for using the personal data of the criminal.
