The social, economic and political developments following WW II resulted in two parallel paradigms of warfare: that of conventional interstate wars, and that of asym- metric conflicts between the state and non-state belligerents. The parallel paradigms also exist in the intelligence field, and demand new ways of thinking and new proce- dures from intelligence professionals.
