The increasing prevalence of type 2 diabetes and cardiovasculardisease compromises the health of all communities in Wyoming.Previous studies suggest that the prevalence of obesity and diabetesis higher in rural areas compared to urban communities1. Educatingpeople on how to prevent diabetes may significantly reduce the riskfor people who have prediabetes or are at risk for developing type2 diabetes.
