Background: Migraine is a functional disorder of the brain. Different mechanisms including modulation of centraland peripheral pain structures have been described. Few studies have revealed decreased levels of the micronutrientsriboflavin, magnesium and coenzyme in plasma and in the brain of migraine patients. Nutritional deficiency couldplay a role in the pathophysiology of migraine. Patient not able to tolerate chemical drugs can have beneficial effectby nutritional supplementation.
