
ANALYSIS OF THE EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SITUATION ON TICK–BORNE ENCEPHALITIS AND IXODID TICK-BORNE BORRELIOSIS IN TOMSK REGION

The data of epidemiological monitoring of tick-borne infections (TBI) in the Tomsk region from 2016 to 2020 were analyzed. It was found that more than 80% of TBI cases were registered in the southern districts of the Tomsk region (TR). From 61.7% to 97.7% of TBI infections occurred in the territories where the infected persons lived, in the spring-summer period when visiting forest biotopes, garden plots and summer cottages, in the adjoining territories. Every year, pathogens of natural focal diseases, often mixed forms of various pathogens, are recorded in ticks collected from vegetation. The need to develop tactics for preventive measures in the territory of TR in relation to TBI is discussed.
