This article focuses on the role partnerships play in creating innovation during a crisis and how partnerships prepare organizations for future crises. While the COVID-19 pandemic is taken as a major backdrop for this article, the focus in this article of building lasting partnerships and systems awareness before and during crises is applicable to many other institutions. The author believes that partnerships are the foundation to thriving and innovating during the most difficult of times.
