The article, based on the analysis of scientific views of scientists, analyzes the content and meaning of the concept of "social security of police officers" and offers a broad and narrow understanding. Legislative and doctrinal approaches to the interpretation of the term "medical care" are given. The content and significance of medical care for police officers as guarantees of their social security in general are revealed.
