The Memorial Grand Piano of Pavlo Tychyna was the object of the study. Thanks to the analysis of written sources and external characteristics of the musical instrument, were filled significant gaps in its history. There was found its approximate age, was tracked movement from the moment of purchase, determined the number of restorations and their features. The data obtained during the research allows us to assert that the piano has a great historical and cultural value. It also confirms that this instrument occupies a prominent place in the exposition of the literary-memorial museum-apartment P.G. Tychyna in the city of Kiev.
