The actuality is grounded and the influence of culturological ideas in the emigration on the further formation of Ukrainian culturological science is investigated in the article. The analysis of the ideas of prominent scholars, public people, politicians and writers those had to emigrate abroad in the first half of the XX-th century is made. Their key works connected with the sources, development, peculiarities of Ukrainian nation, its uniqueness, and mentality and striving to be independent are considered.
