This article aims to analyse the role safe houses (or houses that are deemed safe by their occupants) play in one of Bram Stoker’s first published works, The Primrose Path (1875). Moreover, it will briefly underline similar roles houses play in Dracula (1897), and other works by Stoker, in order to show that he developed this theme all along his literary career.
