The article analyzes the importance of tourism for the socio-economic system of the country, and also evaluates trends in the development of tourism in the current conditions of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Possible ways of overcoming the consequences of the pandemic for the tourism industry in Ukraine and strengthening its position in the world market of tourist services have been substantiated
