Dalam era globalisasi ini, banyak perusahaan kelapa sawit yang harus mengikuti perkembangan teknologi. Dalam mengikuti teknologi terkini perusahaan kelapa sawit harus mengelurakan dana yang tidak sedikit sehingga terjadilah ketidaklancaran dalam arus dana perusahaan. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut bank menyediakan bantuan dana kepada perusahaan. Akan tetapi ada beberapa perusahaan kelapa sawit yang menggunakan uang tersebut tidak pada tujuan yang tepat sehingga pada akhir periode perusahaan tidak mampu mengembalikan dana yang dipinjamnya. Untuk menghindari hal yang merugikan tersebut maka bank harus memperhatikan pada hal kesehatan pendanaan. Kesehatan pendanaan sebuah perusahaan dapat diperiksa dengan memperhatikan financial supply chain perusahaan yang bersangkutan.
