In this paper we shall depict an imaginary journey through AtholMayhew’s Montenegrin chronotope. More precisely, we shall presentheterotopia as an associative space of evocative elements by which theauthor, apart from spatial and temporal, also provides a mimetic paradigmof an unfolding story.We shall describe the ways Athol Mayhew’s travel narrative“Montenegro As We Saw It” achieves its cultural and historical codingthrough emphasizing its intellectual, monologic, associative, essayistic,existential and dramatic mimetic paradigm.
