The article is devoted to the current problem of environmental education. Particular attention is paid to the formation of ecologization and environmental competence of the current and future young generation. The success of environmental consciousness in the modern environment depends, first, on the high level of personality development, the ability to empathize with the outside world, the ability to make the right decisions in environmental situations. Intensive internal work on human values, the desire for environmental education in oneself with high spiritual and moral qualities are impossible without self-awareness. Environmental factors - including certain areas (interests, needs, attitude and personality experience), play an important role in teaching a student to environmental education.
