The article describes testing system in the assessment system of Kazakhstan, including the relevance of applying types of closed-ended test tasks.The author focuses on the types of tests and methods of their development, the features of the test tasks for determining one correct answer out of five proposed answers and for determining one or more correct answers out of eight proposed ones. Analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of these types of tasks. In addition, author considers closed test tasks on the example of geography.The article describes the mental operations of students when they are performing test tasks to determine one correct answer out of five proposed answers and to determine one or more correct answers out of eight proposed ones.Thus, the author reveals the role of closed-ended test tasks in the national system of assessmentin education, analyzing them in the form of experiments, starting with the creation of the tests.
