Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2) infection is a worldwidepandemic involving more than 150 million people. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID19) predominantly presents as a respiratory tract infection that may lead to acuterespiratory distress. Gastrointestinal (GI) manifestations have been reported in severalChinese studies about SARS COV-2 infection. The most frequently reported GI symptomsare nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain [1]. Bowel perforation was rarelyreported in less than 20 cases [2].
