Parentage plays an important role in traditional handicraft villages in Quang Tri, clearly demonstrating through training for next generations; supporting local produce, human resource as well as career orientation. These relationships are kept with conventions of villages and family; and families become the connections that perform the traditional rules of family from generation to generation. Considering the roles of parentage in promoting traditional handicraft villages in Quang Tri in accordance with the development of the villages is necessary for the government to plan a policy that can increase the development of such villages in the future.
