Intensive agriculture along with the increase of chemical fertilizer use have impacted on the water environment. This paper introduces the initial survey of the wastewater quality of agriculture region (vegetables - flowers – fruit plants) at Phu Dien and Tay Tuu Wards (North Tu Liem district, Hanoi). The results showed the pollution of nutrient, organic matters and coliforms. This leads to a high potential of eutrophication in the received surface water. The wastewater quality does not meet the purpose of irrigation and aquaculture in the region.
