Modern higher school requires the teacher to apply teaching methods which would ensure the intensive formation of communicative skills that are professionally important for future workers of the State Emergency Service. The article deals with one of the most effective teaching methods in the language training of future SES workers, viz. – business games. The basic characteristics and advantages of gaming methods, the application of which allows successfully to form the key personal and special competences of the students are clarified. The use of business games within the course «Culture of Business Communication» is considered. The use of gamestorming as an alternative gaming method in the language training of future SES workers is grounded.
