More than two decades ago, the phenomenon of international terrorism in all its diversity of its actual and potential forms and manifestations "came out" beyond the bounds of political and media discourse and became the object of systematic interdisciplinary research. In scientific intelligence, foreign and domestic, he appeared as a specific, complex, intensely evolving and multifunctional phenomenon, whose nature is deeply rooted in the contradiction of globalization processes.
