Baptism of Rus prince Volodymyr was not a more significant event than the adoption of Christianity 1153 years ago - in 860, Prince Oscald (Askold). It is strange that the 1150th anniversary of this baptism in 2010 somehow flicked for the authorities of Ukraine (hardly wrote the "Ukrainian government" - AK), unnoticed. But you see him for Moscow is not interesting. Meanwhile, the event played a more significant role in the history of Kyivan Rus' than the baptism of Vladimir baptism that was not noticed by the then Christian world.
