Ethno-national phenomenon in public life, namely the problem of the Ukrainian national idea and national interest, is becoming increasingly important in the current context. In this sense, socio-cultural aspects of the development of peoples (ethnic groups) come to the fore. There is a need to rethink the system of ethnic culture consciousness in multivariate approaches to its study.
