The fundamental work of the well-known historian and publicist Mrs. Oksana Khomchuk, "Church Outside the Church Fence," has just come to light in Chicago. The book with an alarming title has an even more disturbing subtitle: “The splits and destruction of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in search of“ Constantinople recognition ”. Ms. Khomchuk's previous publications in her editorial, Ukrainians of America for the Kyiv Patriarchate, have more or less known her position on the protracted and controversial problem of "recognizing" us as non-Ukrainian Orthodox and non-Orthodox centers. This position is sharply critical. And there are good reasons for that.
