How do the old view their age? What are their attitudes towards old age? What is the psychology of the old? These are some of the questions posed in the second part of Simone de Beauvoir's The Coming of Age. (1 The author has used the examples of the privileged few (writers, artists etc.) who were the only people to record their attitudes, feelings and views ofold age.
