It was made analysis of criminal argot element functioning in the modern Ukrainian terminological system of forensics. Consideration was given to the positions of some linguists on the possibility of argotic origin words existence in terminology systems. Modern scientific and professional sources for forensic science made and analyzed the examples of the argotism functioning.
