The article addresses key issues aimed at identifying factors affecting the development of resorts and ensuring the sustainable socio-economic development of public policy in the field of spa activities. The formation and development of any resort areas are largely determined by the quality and variety of recreational resources and services. Recreational resources, on the one hand, act as the main material basis of the recreational sphere, and on the other hand, they directly and directly affect the development of recreational infrastructure.
The analysis of world and domestic experience showed that at the moment there is an urgent need to implement a set of measures aimed at preserving, developing the potential of the resort sector and the formation of a modern resort complex. Which is able to solve both medical and social problems, as well as providing affordable sanatorium-resort treatment, and the economic problems of forming the sphere of resort business.In Ukraine, the goals of the spa complex is to focus on the further restoration and development of the spa industry enterprises. The adaptation of the sanatorium complex to world standards is on the path to developing new types and forms of recreational services, organizing new types of leisure centers, expanding treatment services and organizing conference services.
