R05‐1415 (Reg. No. GP‐377, PI 659697) and R05‐1772 (Reg. No. GP‐378, PI 659698) soybean [ Glycine max (L.) Merr.] lines were developed by the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station, Fayetteville, AR and were released as high‐protein lines with a moderately high yield potential. R05‐1415 is an F 3 plant selection from the cross between ‘MFS‐591’ and V96‐4486, whereas R05‐1772 is an F 4 plant selection from the cross between R95‐1705 and V96‐4181. Both R05‐1415 and R05‐1772 are mid‐maturity‐group‐V lines. The yield potential of R05‐1415 and R05‐1772 was 94 and 91% that of the check ‘5002T’ across multiple environments. The average protein content of R05‐1415 and R05‐1772 was 469 and 461 g kg −1 , which was 17 and 15% greater than that of 5002T, respectively.
