The primary objective of this text is to refer to the analytical-synthetic approach to literary theory texts published in Montenegrin journals in the period between the two world wars. These journals are: Zeta, Razvršja, Mlada Zeta, Valjci, Slobodna misao, Granit and Lovćenski odjek. Theoretical publications themselves refer to a demonstration of the poetic climate of that time. Since the interwar period involves avant-garde stylistic formation and then social-realist methodology this text is in the service of interpreting and re-actualizing complex poetic idioms, which must certainly have been adaptive to existing poetic trends. Resistance to the avant-garde cultural orientation provoked theproduction of highly mimetic texts, and it is quite clear that the discourses of socialism were the focus of the press at that time.
