The article deals with theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of teaching drawing to bachelors of design at the Faculty of Fine Arts. In the author’s opinion, the methodological principles of special drawing should be based on the basic methodological provisions of academic drawing taking into account the design specifics of the designer’s professional activity. Drawing in design is an instrument of visualization of creative search, pre-project analysis, professional communication in the process of designing. The description of general and special methodical principles is given in the text of the article, forms of organization of training of bachelors of design in special drawing are defined, prospects of introduction of innovative pedagogical technologies in educational process are revealed. There are also examples of practical introduction of experimental methods developed in the process of pedagogical research.
