We are publishing the letters of Professor of the University of Latvia Lev Sidyakov (1932—2006) and Professor of Kharkov Pedagogical University Leonid Frizman (1935—2018) that are dedicated to the publication of the work “Seminar on Pushkin” (1997) prepared by Frizman, which, according to the author-compiler, was supposed to fill the gap in publications of this type that had been outlined by that time. The value of Sidyakov’s letters lies in the fact that he is writing a review of the work of a fellow Pushkin scholar. Analyzing the successful aspects of “Seminar,” professor Sidyakov points out omissions and puts forward proposals for improving and supplementing the work
